Final Move-Out Checklist
Thank you for being a wonderful resident. We've enjoyed having you as a tenant, and we wish you the best in your new home. To ensure a smooth and easy move-out process and a full return of your security deposit, please use this checklist as a guide. This is not an exhaustive list, but rather an informative checklist of key considerations. Your final deposit return will be assessed based on move out inspection results.
Key Dates & Final Actions
All keys, including mailbox and any amenity keys, must be returned by 5:00 PM on your move out day.
Final Inspection: Schedule a final walkthrough with your landlord on or after your move-out date. Landlord will compare the property's condition to the move-in inspection report to assess for any damages beyond normal wear and tear.
Forwarding Address: Please provide your new forwarding address in writing before you leave. Or provide a good working email address. Your security deposit disposition will be sent to this address within the timeframe specified in your lease agreement.
Cleaning & Maintenance
The goal is to leave the home in a condition similar to when you moved in, minus normal wear and tear.
The following items are not considered normal wear and tear and will be charged to your deposit.
* Stains on carpets
* Stains on walls
* Nails on the walls
* Broken toilets
* Blackened grout on Bathroom tiles,
* Pest infestation
* Dirty AC filters
* Uncut Grass
General Cleaning:
Clean all floors, including vacuuming carpets and mopping hard surfaces.
Wipe down all walls, baseboards, and doors.
Wash all windows inside and out.
Clean all light fixtures and ceiling fans.
Kitchen:
Thoroughly clean the inside and outside of the refrigerator, stove, oven, and microwave.
Wipe down and sanitize all countertops, sinks, and backsplashes.
Clean all cabinets and drawers, both inside and out.
Bathrooms:
Clean and sanitize all toilets, showers, tubs, and sinks.
Wipe down and clean all mirrors and medicine cabinets.
Clean all tile and grout.
Appliances:
Leave all appliances (washer, dryer, etc.) in a clean, functional state.
Pest Control:
Ensure the home is free of pests. Any pest elimination costs resulting from a lack of cleanliness will be deducted from your security deposit.
Exterior & Utilities
Landscaping:
Mow the lawn, trim any weeds, and ensure the yard is clean and free of debris.
Any HOA violations related to landscaping after your move-out date will be your responsibility.
Trash Removal:
All trash and personal belongings must be removed from the property. This includes any items in the garage, shed, or backyard.
Utilities:
Contact the utility companies (water, gas, electric, trash) to schedule the final readings. Close your accounts atlease 2 extra days after your move out so the utilities are moved to new name in continuous operation.
Fire Alarms:
Ensure all fire and smoke alarms are in working order and have fresh batteries. Do not tamper with the fire alarms.

Please make sure to schedule the final inspection with Landlord at earliest convenient time.
Your final deposit will be returned based on
1> The condition at final inspection by Landlord.
2> Proof that all final utlity bills are paid off.
