Dear Tenant

Congratulations on your new lease! To ensure your move-in process is as smooth and stress-free as possible, we have outlined the required next steps below. Please review this information carefully.

Step 1: Submit Your Security Deposit

Please note that your security deposit is due immediately upon signing the lease, *not* on your move-in date. The deposit must be paid directly to Prime Properties DMV. After you move in, we will transfer these funds to your Landlord, who will hold the deposit in escrow for the duration of your lease and process your refund upon move-out.  You can find the payment methods at :    https://www.ppdmv.com/guide/payments

Step 2: Activate Your Tenant Portal (If Applicable)

If your new home is actively managed by Prime Properties DMV, you will receive an email invitation to join DoorLoop. Please accept this invite to set up your online tenant portal. 

Step 3: Transfer the Utilities

Transferring all required utilities into your name is a strict prerequisite for receiving your keys. You should have already received a utility contact sheet from us. If you have not, please email Office@PPDMV.com  immediately. 

* **Important Note:** The Landlord will schedule their utility services to be disconnected the day before your lease begins. Please make sure your services are scheduled to start on your move-in date so you are not left without power or heat!

Step 4: Schedule Your Move-In Appointment

At least 48 hours before your desired move-in day, please reach out to **Office@PPDMV.com** to schedule a convenient time for your key handoff.

Step 5: Key Exchange & Move-In Inspection

During your scheduled move-in appointment, we will hand over your keys and conduct a joint Move-In Inspection. We will document the current condition of the property in a formal report. Please keep a copy of this report for your records, as it protects you and serves as the baseline for your eventual move-out inspection.
